Published results show that risk-stratified treatments did not improve outcomes for patients in the Military Health System with low back problems compared to conventional treatment.
Researchers conducted a parallel-group, randomized clinical study of 270 patients with low back pain who visited a primary care clinic in the Military Health System from April 2017 until February 2020. The study found that 136 patients were given risk-stratified treatment and 134 received usual care. The Roland-Morris Disability was used as the primary outcome measure.
