Journal of Arthroplasty results published showed that patients aged 30 and younger who had undergone a contemporary total hip arthroplasty experienced better clinical outcomes after 10 years, with encouraging survivor rates.
Researchers retrospectively analyzed 144 primary THAs that were implanted in patients between 30 and 29 years of age (average age 23 years). They evaluated clinical outcomes including modified Harris Hip Scores, University of California Los Angeles Activity Scores, polyethylene and complications.
