
There is a neighborhood in Cincinnati, Price Hill that has only one street leading into and out of it. Over 700 families live there and the average income is less than $15,000 per year. The Villages of Roll Hill is one of the ten most impoverished neighborhoods in the nation, but within the privately owned property are parents who want more for their children and kids whose dreams can’t be diminished by the disparity around them.
Lisa Hyde Miller is a Roll Hill resident of over 30 years. She is able to see the potential in children and families, and not just what might be missing. Lisa has provided GED classes for parents for years and has offered many opportunities for families connect. Lisa wanted to do something for the kids, but she needed assistance planning and carrying out her idea.
