NEW ORLEANS — Pediatric patients who underwent arthroscopic meniscus repair had a complication rate around 11% at 8-month follow-up, with the highest complication rate found among those with isolated meniscus repairs.
Henry B. Ellis Jr. MD and his colleagues conducted a prospective multicenter quality improvement registry study to identify complications in more than 2,000 pediatric arthroscopic repairs of the meniscus. Ellis stated that patients classified as type I were excluded because there was too much variability, and no patients were included.
