The results showed that patients with a shorter stay than 45 hours following anterior-lumbar interbody Fusion had greater minimal clinically significant difference achievement in terms of several patient-reported as well as functional outcomes.
Researchers from Rush University Medical Center’s department of orthopedics reviewed retrospective data on 52 patients who had a LOS less than 45 hours following single-level ALIF. They also looked at 52 patients who had LOS greater than or equal 45 hours. Following up was done at six-week, twelve-week, and six month intervals.
