As a high school senior, I am beginning my journey to higher education. I have begun to critically consider the path to becoming an orthopaedic surgeon.
My love for orthopedics stems from the experiences of my father, clinical exposure and research experience. My parents were physicians and I am from that family. However, they took different paths to get there. My father was educated in the United States using a conventional approach. While my mother was educated at home in India and only came to the United States to obtain residency, my father was educated there.
