
Formus Labs released a press statement announcing FDA clearance of its Formus Hip software, which is an automated radiological imaging-processing program that will be used to plan hip replacements as well as for preoperative planning.
According to the release, Formus Hip combines artificial intelligence and computational biomechanics to create 3D surgical plans to personalize patients’ surgical process.
