Volunteers are a critical part of the care provided to children and teens in Monterrey. As the foster care program grows in size and depth, volunteers recently stepped up for a local foster  family who provide care for a young girl with visual impairment.

Volunteers saw a need for a teacher and assistance in getting to and from therapy for the family and together with local donors, they made it happen. They created a support network who contributes the monthly salary for a teacher. They also provide transportation for the family to attend therapy sessions.

It’s long been said it takes a village to raise a child, and local volunteers and donors are showing it’s true – together, a young girl is reminded regularly she is profoundly known and loved.
